While the university encourages applicants to make every effort to obtain the required number of referee reports, it is recognised that some applicants may have difficulty arranging two academic referees. These applicants are advised to explain in a covering letter attached to their application the circumstances that prevented them from meeting this requirement. In these circumstances, applicants should provide additional professional referee reports. Selection interviewThe most competitive applicants are contacted by the selection committee for a telephone interview. This is the final stage in the selection process, and a formal offer of a place in the course may follow shortly after a successful interview. Applicants who are selected for interview will receive further information in advance of the interview.

Master of Information Studies (with specialisations) A Bachelor’s or Master’s (or AQF equivalent) degree in any discipline. OR Work experience at a professional level of a minimum of 10 years full time equivalence in an information or cultural organisation such as an academic, public, school or corporate library, data or archival centre, government information agency, museum, gallery or other information or cultural organisation will be considered AND English Language Proficiency Standard English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements. Graduate Certificate in Information Studies Applicants for the Graduate Certificate in Information Studies must meet the following admission requirements: A completed Bachelor or Master’s degree (or AQF equivalent). OR Demonstrated work experience at a professional level of a minimum of  3  years full time equivalence within the field of study or equivalent AND English Language Proficiency Standard English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements. Offer may be conditional on ELP but applicants will be required to provide evidence of meeting these requirements before the start of studies.

Master of Arts (Intelligence Analysis) A broader range of students are now eligible for entry to the course. The course is designed to both assist existing intelligence practitioners, and those hoping to access this field. As such students who are already working in as an intelligence analyst/practitioner, as well as those who hope to enter the profession are admitted (on a case by case basis) to the course. Normally, applicants will have an undergraduate degree and relevant professional experience. Graduate Diploma of Intelligence Analysis Graduate Diploma: Applicants must have completed requirements for the Graduate Certificate in Intelligence Analysis. Graduate Certificate in Intelligence Analysis Applicants for the Graduate Certificate in Intelligence Analysis need to satisfy one or more of the following criteria: Be working as an intelligence practitioner in a law enforcement, national security, regulatory or commercial agency. Demonstrate professional experience in one or more practitioner contexts (strategic, operational or tactical intelligence). Have completed a relevant CSU intelligence short course or an industry based course recognised by CSU. Hold an undergraduate or post-graduate qualification in criminology, justice or security studies. Satisfy the Course Coordinator of other skills or professional qualifications that would make the candidate eligible for entrance into the course.

To be admitted to the Master of Social Work (Professional Qualifying) students require: Successful completion of a recognised three-year degree with at least one year of full-time studies in human services and/or social science (studies of the individual and society) or related content, including successful completion of a subject in each of the following areas: Communication for human services/critical thinking and; Human development or life span psychology and; Sociology/anthropology/social theory and; Introduction to social welfare/work/human services. The full year of pre-requisite study and/or specified content must be completed prior to commencing study. Where prerequisite study has not been met, it can be completed: by single subject studies; and/or     through the Graduate Certificate in Human Services, for students who are assessed as having already completed six months/four subjects of relevant content; and/or as part of another qualification at undergraduate or postgraduate level English Language Proficiency Standard English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements. Master of Pastoral Counselling Graduate Certificate in Pastoral Counselling Exit point only, no special arrangements apply. Graduate Diploma of Pastoral Counselling Applicants for the Graduate Diploma of Pastoral Counselling must meet the following Admission Requirements: Applicants should hold an undergraduate degree (or AQF) equivalent in theology, psychology or Australian Qualifications Framework. Applicants with degrees in any other disciplines are encouraged to apply. OR Applicants without an undergraduate degree may be considered, with evidence that they are able to undertake tertiary studies in this area (such as a letter of motivation and two professional or academic references). Master of Pastoral Counselling Applicants for the Master of Pastoral Counselling must meet the following Admission Requirements: * be able to demonstrate through a pre-admission interview personal suitability to undertake professional practice as a pastoral counsellor, including self-awareness, relational capacity, personal ethical practice, being able to reflect on and learn from experience, and being open to positive and challenging feedback; and * hold an undergraduate degree (or AQF equivalent) in theology or psychology, however applicants with degrees in other disciplines are encouraged to apply; or * have successfully completed the Graduate Diploma of Pastoral Counselling or * hold a Graduate Diploma of Counselling from another institution; These applicants may be required to complete the core subject theological component of a Graduate Diploma of Theology before being granted admission to the Master of Pastoral Counselling. Applicants are required to: hold an AQF Level 7 Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in health or biomedical sciences (e. g. nursing, biomedical sciences, medical radiation sciences, medicine); and provide evidence of access to suitable clinical experience in mammography.

Master of Adult and Vocational Education For admission to the Master of Adult and Vocational Education, applicants must meet the following requirements: - Hold a Bachelor degree (or AQF equivalent) from a recognised university and have a minimum of one year relevant industry experience or equivalent related to their undergraduate degree AND - Have completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40110 or TAE 40116) with an accredited Registered Training Organisation OR - Be currently enrolled in a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40110 or TAE 40116) with an accredited Registered Training Organisation.   English Language Proficiency Standard English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements apply.  Refer to http://futurestudents. csu. edu. au/apply/english-language  for the specific requirements.   NOTE: Students who receive the VET02C Forward Credit (FCR) on entry based on evidence of current enrolment in the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40110 or TAE 40116) must have completed the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and provided a copy of their Certificate and transcript prior to enrolling in the subject  EEB441 The Reflective Practitioner. Master of Applied Digital Marketing Graduate Certificate in Applied Digital Marketing   A completed Bachelor Degree in a related field OR At least 2 years relevant industry experience for students entering the Graduate Certificate without an undergraduate degree Master of Applied Digital Marketing A completed Bachelor Degree in a related field OR A completed Bachelor Degree in a different field plus at least 2 years relevant industry experience Graduate Certificate in Applied Digital Marketing A completed Bachelor Degree in a related field OR At least 2 years relevant industry experience for students entering the Graduate Certificate without an undergraduate degree

The Research Advisory Committee (RAC) of the University holds the delegated authority to approval for admission to a research higher degree programs. Master of Philosophy Basis of Approval for Admission to the Master of Philosophy The RAC shall base its decision on admission to a proposed Master of Philosophy candidature upon the following evidence, that: the proposed program of study and research is at a level appropriate to the degree being sought; the proposed area of research falls within an approved University field of research for admission to a higher degree by research; the proposed supervisors are sufficiently expert in the area of research, and have the time and commitment to be able to provide appropriate supervision, and that adequate physical resources are available; the applicant has the appropriate background and ability to undertake the proposed course (refer also to Entry Qualifications, below); the applicant has given the necessary commitment to work regularly on the approved program of study and research and maintain regular contact with the supervisor(s). Entry Qualifications for Master of Philosophy Degree The entry qualifications required for admission to a Master of Philosophy program are: an appropriate Bachelor degree from an Australian university or an equivalent overseas tertiary institution, taken over a minimum of three years (full-time equivalent) and with a minimum grade point average of 5. 0; or an appropriate Bachelor degree with honours from an Australian university or an equivalent overseas tertiary institution, taken over a minimum of four years (full-time equivalent); or some other appropriate combination of undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications (such as relevant graduate diplomas) and research experience that demonstrate  capacity   to   undertake   research   at a Masters level.

Master of Human Resource Management (with specialisations) For entry to the Master of Human Resource Management applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution (or equivalent).   Applicants without a tertiary qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management on the basis of professional attainment and/or work experience.   Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate, students will then be eligible for admission to the Master Human Resource Management and receive credit for applicable subjects. Graduate Certificate In Human Resource Management Applicants without a tertiary qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management on the basis of professional attainment and/or work experience.   Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate, students will then be eligible for admission to the Master Human Resource Management and receive credit for applicable subjects.

Applicants will be expected to have: had a minimum of five years appropriate industry experience; or have completed a TAFE Zookeeping certificate or equivalent; or have completed relevant previous tertiary study. Applicants should provide a comprehensive CV and letters of reference with their application to demonstrate a minimum of five years' appropriate industry experience.

Applicants should hold: a Master of Islamic Studies from Charles Sturt University with a Distinction average plus evidence of research; or a Bachelor of Islamic Studies (Honours) with Class 1 or Class 2 Division 1 from Charles Sturt University; or an award from another accredited tertiary institution, accepted by the Research Advisory Committee as equivalent to one of the above awards, and/or have demonstrated in study or professional performance potential to undertake research at a Master degree level. Admission to candidature is subject to approval by the Research Advisory Committee.
