Developed in response to demand from students and the academic community, this research degree provides advanced knowledge and understanding in Islamic studies. Under the guidance of an academic supervisor, you will research an aspect of Islamic studies that interests you and present your findings in a detailed thesis.

Entry requirements

Applicants should hold: a Master of Islamic Studies from Charles Sturt University with a Distinction average plus evidence of research; or a Bachelor of Islamic Studies (Honours) with Class 1 or Class 2 Division 1 from Charles Sturt University; or an award from another accredited tertiary institution, accepted by the Research Advisory Committee as equivalent to one of the above awards, and/or have demonstrated in study or professional performance potential to undertake research at a Master degree level. Admission to candidature is subject to approval by the Research Advisory Committee.
