Master of Clinical Psychology
Applicants must possess:
personal suitability to undertake professional practice as a psychologist
a four-year APAC-accredited qualification in psychology at Honours 2A level or better (or an equivalent qualification)
full registration as a psychologist
Additional admission criteriaApplicants must provide the following:evidence of general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA)a completed Master of Clinical Psychology Supplementary Application Formreferences from two professional and two academic referees, submitted via the online National Psychology Reference SystemPlease note that the National Psychology Reference system is now used by all Australian Universities. To be able to use the system, you will need to have an active subscription. The cost is $25 and can be paid for through the 'My Account' section in the payment tab. While the university encourages applicants to make every effort to obtain the required number of referee reports, it is recognised that some applicants may have difficulty arranging two academic referees. These applicants are advised to explain in a covering letter attached to their application the circumstances that prevented them from meeting this requirement. In these circumstances, applicants should provide additional professional referee reports. Selection interviewThe most competitive applicants are contacted by the selection committee for a telephone interview. This is the final stage in the selection process, and a formal offer of a place in the course may follow shortly after a successful interview. Applicants who are selected for interview will receive further information in advance of the interview.
