   1. subject content studies equivalent to one year of full-time study in one or more learning areas of the primary school curriculum; including

Applicants seeking teacher registration in Australia should check with state registration bodies to confirm English Language Proficiency requirements for teacher registration.

All students enrolled must have the appropriate approvals before they may enter a classroom.

These are: Blue Card (Qld), Working with Vulnerable People (ACT) or Working with Children Check (NSW and Vic).

International students must provide a police check from their home country. All students who have lived in another country for twelve months or more must provide a police check from that country for that period.

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites:

1. Have completed either:
   1. A Bachelor Degree from an accredited 3-year program in a Health Discipline or equivalent to enter the non-discipline pathway with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 4.6 on the ACU 7 point scale; or
   2. A Bachelor Degree from an accredited 4-year program in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology or equivalent to enter (Discipline) pathway, with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 4.6 on the ACU 7 point scale; or
   3. ACU Faculty of Health Sciences Graduate Certificate or equivalent to enter the Non-discipline) pathway
2. Have a minimum of two years clinical experience in the appropriate discipline.
3. Be employed in the field unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator.
4. Demonstrate suitability to undertake the course:
   1. For the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy disciplines, applicants must hold current registration with the discipline specific National Allied Health Registration Board or required Authority in Australia, or Registration Authority in country of current practice,
   2. For the Speech Pathology discipline, applicants must have obtained and maintain eligibility to practice and membership with Speech Pathology Australia, or Registration Authority in country of current practice.

NOTE: Applicants having completed an ACU Graduate Certificate will be eligible for recognition of prior learning of 40 credit points.

To be eligible for admission to the Graduate Diploma in Health Professional Education, an application must:

1. have completed either a Bachelor degree in a health discipline or equivalent; OR
2. have completed the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education or Graduate Certificate in Health Professional Education; AND
3. have completed at least one year of clinical or work experience prior to admission.

There are two admission pathways to the Graduate Certificate in Higher Education

1. Students admitted to the 4 x 10 credit point pathway
2. Students self-registered in the 8 x 5 credit point micro-credential pathway, who are admitted at the completion of 40cp of study.

Admission Path A

To be eligible for admission to the course through path A, an applicant must:

1. comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.
2. have completed a Bachelor degree or equivalent; and either:
   1. hold an academic appointment (including sessional academic) with a direct teaching role, in a tertiary education institution
   or
   2. hold an appointment in a tertiary education institution (whether academic or not) that has a role in the advancement of learning and teaching at a Faculty level or an institutional level and that also involves at least some direct teaching.

Admission Path B

To be eligible for admission to the course through path A, an applicant must:

1. hold an academic appointment (including sessional academic) with a direct teaching role, in a tertiary education institution
or
2. hold an appointment in a tertiary education institution (whether academic or not) that has a role in the advancement of learning and teaching at a Faculty level or an institutional level and that also involves at least some direct teaching.

An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must hold a Bachelor degree (or higher), normally in Exercise Science, Sports Science, Human Movement, Physiotherapy, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Kinesiology or related discipline.

A candidate for the degree of Master of Philosophy must comply with the Higher Degree Research Regulations.

An applicant for admission to candidature for the degree of Master of Philosophy must have completed one of the following:

1. An appropriate undergraduate degree with Honours at a minimum level of Second Class Division A (Distinction average); or
2. Postgraduate research training (eg coursework completed to distinction level or higher or a master-by-coursework degree); or
3. Demonstrated research experience with evidence of capacity to undertake independent research work (eg an authored publication).

Meeting the eligibility requirements for admission is not in itself a guarantee of admission. The candidate's potential to undertake research, the quality and feasibility of the research proposal, the availability of appropriate supervision and the referee's reports will all be taken into consideration.
