Colin Biggers & Paisley Graduate Programs & Internships

  • Law

Founded over a century ago, Colin Biggers & Paisley is one of the oldest legal practices in the country. Our key fields of expertise are construction, property and insurance and we maintain a strong presence in the areas of banking and finance, employment and safety, corporate and commercial, restructuring and insolvency and dispute resolution.

Our offices in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney encourage creativity, collaboration and productivity. Whether it’s relaxing with a drink on a Friday night, joining our all-star netball team or enjoying a complimentary massage, we offer a suite of unique employee benefits.

We don't just recognise our role as a corporate citizen, we put our words into action. The Colin Biggers & Paisley Foundation brings together our entire community offering and is comprised of three streams - pro bono legal services, volunteering and charitable contributions.

Our goal is to create a company as diverse as the world around us. We believe new ideas stem from diverse perspectives and recognise that it’s these differences that helps us acquire and retain top talent, build the best teams for our clients and deliver the highest calibre service.

We believe in a workplace that inspires our people and are committed to supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of our people. We understand that the amount of time people are able to dedicate to their career can vary. In fact, 60% of our people work flexibly, including partners.

Our Graduate Program

Our graduates get to tackle meaningful work from day one. Our commitment to you is to provide the best possible legal and business framework - and the opportunity to work with legal experts who will mentor, support and encourage you throughout your career. We offer a 15-month program with rotations so you can explore 12 different practice areas and uncover your passion for a preferred area of law. Our program is full of complex and interesting work and opportunities for growth.

We want law graduates:

  • Who are authentic and honest

  • Who wants to be a part of our unique culture

  • Who aspires to contribute to the community through our Foundation

  • Who are as ambitious as they are responsible; who want to be challenged and supported in their journey to becoming a lawyer

We understand that delivering great results for our clients depends on having great people. In addition to tuition reimbursement for approved work-related courses, we offer up to five days of study/exam leave per academic year and opportunities for both career progression and personal growth.
