About the Role

As a QE&A Graduate Trainee at Cognizant, you will be a member of a fast growing local team of a truly global organization which is a leader in business and technology services, who provide a full range of services to our clients across a variety of industries.

If selected, you will immediately commence a structured induction program under the Cognizant Academy and subsequently be assigned to a client engagement in Australia where you will work alongside experienced Cognizant Associates in delivering technology solutions. You will be embedded within the Cognizant teams that are currently delivering projects to our customers and you will learn skills that cannot be taught in a classroom and put into practice some of your theory and problem solving skills.

Our Graduate Program offers a one-year training program that is targeted to the team you join. You will be given unique opportunities to work across the entire technical, consulting and digital space within specialized business units, where you will have the opportunity to be a team member that is currently delivering solutions within transformation engagements. You will be trained and mentored by top Cognizant experts and be exposed to the latest in methodologies from traditional Waterfall, through to Agile methods which are all transportable within your career.

Campus Associate Training Program (CATP)

Prior to starting your client engagement, you will attend a Customized New Hire Training Program. It will be on client relationship management skills as well as technical training (Software Testing and Quality Management, Project Management, SDLC, Agile, Business Analysis, etc.). Graduates will receive local and international experience and training.

The Ideal Candidate for Quality Engineering Graduate

We are looking for motivated Computer Science; Software Engineering or related disciplines graduates with an unmatched passion for technology.

  • Bachelor's degree specialising in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or similar
  • Passion for technology
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Passion to learn and upskill
  • Positive mind / Can-do attitude
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams
  • Keen interest to pursue a long term career in the Digital & Information Technology

Eligibility

  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident only
  • Have completed your undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or similar in 2016, 2017
  • TAFE and Diploma degree holders from similar disciplines and graduation year as specified above are also welcome to apply

    • Requests for certain action items that need to be fulfilled sometimes take too long to be completed due to lengthy approval times.

    • The graduate program needs to be more structured so that our engagement and interest is maintained.

    • Frictional interactions between employees, especially with offshore teams, due to cultural differences.

    • Unsure of my direction or intent from management.

    • Clunky laptop, slow internal processes.
