About this course

This dual program will provide you with a focused background in information technology, along with the in-depth knowledge of a mathematics degree.

The Bachelor Information Technology is a hands-on project-focused program based on international standards for computer science and information systems. You'll study programming languages, algorithms and information structure, and develop the ability to process data or information to solve problems.

In the mathematics component, you'll develop comprehensive specialised knowledge in one field of mathematics, or a high level of sophistication in the applications of mathematics generally.

Modern computation, advances in scientific technology and the increasing production of data have increased the scope for applications of mathematics beyond the traditional areas of engineering and the physical sciences to include fields such as finance, economics, information technology and molecular biology.

You'll graduate with high-level quantitative and analytical skills that will help you take a key role at the forefront of new developments in technology, and you'll have a skill-set that's desirable to many of the world's most valuable brands.
