Choose to develop a comprehensive specialised knowledge in one field of mathematics, or a high level of sophistication in the applications of mathematics generally. You can then apply your valuable knowledge in sectors of the economy beyond the traditional areas to include fields such as finance, economics, information technology and molecular biology.
You'll gain quantitative and analytical skills, along with a foundation of calculus, linear algebra, discrete mathematics, mathematical analysis and modelling. Your study will also give you a deep knowledge of mathematical topics and a high level of sophistication in the application of mathematics across a variety of fields and industries.
