Bachelor (Honours)
UQ's highly regarded Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) is a one-year program of advanced courses that will teach you how to plan and write a research project that addresses a specific question.
Your courses cover computer science, software engineering, design and information systems, and you'll collaborate with teachers involved in specialist research areas including complex and intelligent systems, security and surveillance, and interaction design. You can also link your research project with an industry placement to further develop your communication skills, independence, creativity and professional ethics.
You'll find the school's amenities are second to none, with more than 400 Windows, Unix and Apple workstations, approximately 20 specialist computer labs, and dedicated IT and engineering support staff to ensure your study and research is successful.
