NOTE: All applications for admission require documentary evidence of industry experience and qualifications to be provided. Examples of supporting documentation include employer letters, a curriculum vitae, certified copies of proficiency certificates (necessary for all trade apprenticeships), and university or RTO transcripts of results, etc. Applications for admission to the Bachelor of Education (Secondary) Industry Entry program for Technology and Applied Studies teaching areas must also be accompanied by the above Supplementary Application Form. NESA details the subject content knowledge requirements for entry to graduate teaching programs. Entry requirements are based on the NESA requirements for entry to teacher education courses. Admission requirements vary depending on prior study/industry experience and the teaching area to be completed. The entry requirements below relate to the specific first teaching areas to be covered in this course.
Technology and Applied Studies - first teaching areas:
Information Technology
An accredited Associate Diploma / Diploma in Information Technology / Computing completed through a Registered Training Organisation;
and
five years (post training) recent industry experience in field of qualification, not including period of training;
and
demonstrated ability to design and implement solutions to problems and needs in their technology specialisation evidenced by satisfactory responses to a questionnaire.
OR
Food Technology
An accredited Associate Diploma / Diploma in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) / Food Science, completed through a Registered Training Organisation;
and
five years (post training) recent industry experience in field of qualification, not including period of training;
and
demonstrated ability to design and implement solutions to problems and needs in their technology specialisation that will require submission of a questionnaire.

full chef qualifications (Apprenticeship and Trade Certificate III in Commercial Cookery);

Trade qualified (Apprenticeship and Trade Certificate III) in Automotive Mechanic; Diesel/Plant Mechanic; Electrical Mechanic; Electrician/Electronics; Plumbing; or related area;
and
three to five years (post training) recent industry experience in field of qualification, not including period of training;
and
demonstrated ability to design and implement solutions to problems and needs in their technology specialisation evidenced by satisfactory responses to a questionnaire.

Agricultural Technology
Accredited Associate Diploma Agricultural College (National or International) - two-year fulltime program or equivalent, completed through a Registered Training Organisation;
