The Bachelor of Communication offers students the ideal mix of theory and practice, combining foundational studies in Communication and Media with focused studies in the professional disciplines of Public Relations, Advertising and Journalism. It also allows students to pursue focused studies in the fields of Communication & Society, Corporate Storytelling, Creative Writing, Digital Media, Film & TV, Media Studies, and Social Media as well as a combination of these fields. Altogether, the degree offers students a stimulating course of study and excellent career prospects. The Bachelor of Laws prepares students for a career as a legal professional, both within Australia and overseas. It provides students with a thorough grounding in essential areas of substantive law and access to a wide choice of law elective subjects, including the option of completing a specialisation. An integrated skills and professionalism program is embedded in the degree and focuses on core legal skills essential to the practice of law. The Bachelor of Laws provides an engaging learning experience that challenges students academically and prepares them practically for a legal career.

The Bachelor of Communication / Bachelor of Laws enables you to graduate with two undergraduate degrees. The combined degree provides you with the professional outcomes and opportunities of both individual degrees. Please refer to the individual programs for professional outcomes.

Completing this combined program will provide opportunities for a range of careers in private, government and not for profit sectors. Graduates may seek to practise law whilst utilising a foundational understanding of the communication and media industries, or employ their understanding of Law to work in media industries with a background in compliance, regulation and intellectual property.

Credit for prior study or work

Subject credits may be awarded for previous studies. To apply for credits, you will need to submit academic transcripts including detailed subject outlines/course descriptions for each relevant subject and/or certified copies of testamurs to the Office of Future Students.
