About the Opportunity: Computer Science Graduate

The Computer Science graduate will work closely with internal project teams and client business stakeholders to design, build, test, deploy, and operate software solutions. Jacobs has broad software engineering needs ranging from plant and control systems to performance monitoring dashboards to corporate and third-party financial, analytical, and reporting visualisations, and more.

The Computer Science graduate should have strong, hands-on coding skills and a proven ability to build working software solutions to meet specifications, including:

  • An in-depth, end-to-end, knowledge of how software systems work.
  • Expertise in at least one contemporary computer programming language; Javascript, Python, Scala, C++, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of the software development life-cycle.
  • Familiar with coding standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security concerns, and how they apply to operational systems.
